I went on a hike in my neighborhood to get a good view of the flyby. I only had a half hour of time to get up there, so I just brought my phone and streamed the flyby during my class. It was pretty cool, although I was hoping they would be lower. Seven F-35A’s, seven F-16’s and a tanker. It was pretty cool, but I exhausted myself a bit and am now taking a final. Halfway through!

South Mountain?

I’m surprised our Dear Leader hasn’t been boasting about his flybys. Or had his signature stenciled onto the tails.
I used to work in San Francisco in a 24-story building and I knew how to get onto the roof and did so a couple of years until the executives found out we had fun doing it and forbade us from going up there any more.

Thanks for sharing and good luck on the final!

Funhaters.
Trump probably secretly thinks they're spreading chem trails.

No, part of the Phoenix Mountains. You can see South Mountain far off in the distance in that first pic.

Thanks, almost done! It was great for my students. Gave them something to look forward to. Of course my sister, who is a covid nurse, was inside and didn’t make it out in time. Her house was right below them.

Ah. I’ve only been to Phoe nix once so all of the mountain views look the same to me.

There’s really only a few that look distinctive if you’re not familiar with the area. Camelback, Red Mountain and the Superstitions. South Mountain and this area look very similar rock wise.

Well they gotta spread the chemtrails somehow not that the airlines are down.
In all seriousness, that is awesome.

I believe that formation is called a “gaggle.”

That was my first time in the south west and I liked it way more than I expected. I’m trying to convince the wife that a drier climate would be better for our health.

Or Clorox.

Unfortunately Phoenix’s particulate pollution negates the dry air health benefits now. However, I think the sunshine and lots of opportunities for outdoor activities help.

Yeah, they were all over the place. The migrating geese would have laughed at them.
It was pretty cool to see just one group of planes circle around the valley. Very surreal.

Yeah, it was cool. I originally didn’t really care, as I’ve lived in Phoenix and Tucson and seen my fair share of jets flying around, but when I saw they were going over my neighborhood mountains I got pretty excited.

A Blue Angel saw us up there waving like a bunch of kids and did a high-G turn right around the top of our building. I was looking right at the tops of their heads through the top of the canopy as moisture condensed and fog came off the leading edges of the wings. And no camera, naturally... Would be about twenty years ago now...

Can I send you one of the TEAM OPPOSITELOCK stickers when they arrive from the printer?
